The QUALIFID project (Quality and quality culture in initial teacher training: factors and perceptions) addresses the ongoing debate regarding quality in initial teacher training and its relevance to improving educational systems. The research is based on the premise that while current quality assurance systems have established transparency and self-review procedures, they have not necessarily fostered a genuine quality culture within training institutions.
The main objectives of this research focus on: * Identifying the structural, formal, and organizational-psychological factors that contribute to a quality culture in initial teacher training institutions. * Analyzing the perception of initial teacher training quality from the perspectives of university teachers, university students, school principals, and practicum tutors from non-university educational centers. * Understanding the perceptions regarding the competencies (pedagogical, social, personal, and managerial) and attitudes of new teachers entering the education system, as viewed by school principals, educational inspectors, and practicing teachers.
Within the framework of this research, my role is specifically that of a researcher on the project team. My activities are centered around supporting the methodological execution, participating in the qualitative and quantitative data collection processes across the selected university nodes, and collaborating in the subsequent analysis and drafting of the scientific publications derived from the study.
